Many have also resorted to stomach staples and liposuction and to me it is a real worry that some of the nastiest surgical treatments ever devised have been in the name of improving health and medical science and seems even more drastic than any Hannibal Lector could have devised.

The simple facts of the matter are that most people are obese because they have extra low levels of testosterone, especially when compared to the average in men only 80 years ago when most men had much more physical labor jobs and few cars to drive. The low testosterone levels translate into low levels of motivation, activity and exercise, which not only reduces muscle-mass and increases body fat, the reduced exercise level compounds the low testosterone problem even further with ultimately very dangerously low levels of androgenic hormones then being produced. Within a few short years, morbid obesity has set in and the issues are becoming very serious and life threatening.

To change the trend of all this, a person only needs to start their day with seven minutes of high intensity weights training which will cause the body to make more testosterone. Each day this seven minutes stays the same, but because the weights get easier, heavier weights must be used to keep the brain increasing the total testosterone level.

Many Bottled Water Companies Won’t Reveal Sources, Contaminants

Americans drink around 36 billion bottles of water a year, generating enough plastic bottles to circle the equator laid end to end. Bottled water is hugely popular but a new study finds that Americans probably have no idea what’s actually in those bottles since bottled water companies are not being transparent about either water sources or water quality testing results.

An organization called the Environmental Working Group surveyed over 188 brands of bottled water and found that most bottled water companies don’t reveal where their water comes from or the results of any laboratory testing which would reveal if the product contains contaminants.

EWG found that 18% of water brands don’t reveal where their water comes from, 32% won’t reveal treatment methods or purity results and 13% publish water quality reports that lack any real data, making them useless.

Other studies have revealed that bottled water most often comes from urban tap water sources, not mountain springs as many advertising campaigns would have us believe. Last year, the New York Times revealed that there are around 60,000 unregulated chemicals in city tap water and that the Safe Drinking Water Act is not protecting Americans due to budget cuts and political resistance. These tap water facts are not well known.

Breaking the Law?

California passed a law in 2007 (SB220) that required companies to reveal the source of the contents and to give consumers two ways to find out about water quality testing results for a given bottled brand. EWG found that only 24% of bottlers were complying with the law with many offering information on websites that is not actually there once you search for it.

For example the Archer Farms brand sold by Target stores has a website on its label offering testing data but when you reach that website no testing data is available. Likewise brand sold by Walmart and Kroger were bereft of data on advertised websites.

Then Congressman Bart Stupak said at a House subcommittee hearing in 2008: “Just because it comes in a bottle, we assume it’s healthier, but it’s not the case.” Outside of the California law, the bottled water industry has little if any regulation to protect the public from unsafe water or false advertising.

Research shows that some plastic bottles can leach chemicals into the water which may not be safe for the public. Compounds called BPAs found in bottles and can-liners have been the focus on health concerns over the last year, yet many plastic bottles may still be emitting the chemicals into their contents.

Protect Yourself

Environmental Working Group researchers urge the public to filter their own water at home and carry that water in stainless steel bottles as you go to work or outdoors. Home filtered water, even with an under counter water filter, removes chemicals in tap water and is the cleanest available unless you are hiking in high mountains and find a spring.
